And here it is finished, I got this pattern from Patons family favorites, a wonderful patterns book. Yarn is Patons beehive, burgundy ribbon in two diffrent sizes and burgundy flowers are from walmart, and little sweet pearl heart buttons are from Yarn Forward. Now I have to make a seafoam green one with yellow ribbon for litle nameless baby...

On my tiny size 3.0mm needles Glampyre's mini sweater, except I am changing it up ALOT, Long not short & poofy sleeves (even thought the poofs are pretty cute) And I am going to do some bead knitting around the bottom, and the cuff of the sleeves, the beads are this really pretty pink, and are a really nice contrast to the bright blue. I'm actually hoping to have enough of this yarn to make a whole sweater, but I could ony get about 26 balls (onsale and discontinued at Wool Tyme) So worst case it is just a boob holder, and that'd be alright, and I will have a better idea of how much I have when I get the sleeves done.

Mittens for Robbie.
Navy Blue is Red Heart one of those Super Savers
and the Gray is Caron Simply Soft.
He wanted Navy blue and light blue, but when I tried it out I didn't like it at all, So he is getting the gray.

Anywho, on to threading little tiny bright pink seed beads on to my fuzzy blue stuff that I got a while ago.

A Knitted Me!!! had to be lightened quite abit because the pinkl looked like red, and that reminded me of McDonalds and then I got thinking about cheese burgers, and since I am on a diet... It just wasn't a good thing...

HOT OFF THE NEEDLES!!YEE-FREAKIN-HA!!! This was driving me crazy, but I don't think I really like it ALLLLLL that much... it's kinda boy-ish I guess... But the chart worked out perfectally, and there were no little screw-ups, so I guess I did alright... now it's on to my next mission, Stash Buster Knitted quilt made of all different sorts of yarns and every colour you can think of, I want it to look like a rainbow threw up all over it.

THE CAT IN THE HAT...

What do you do on a day that the roads are so ice covered that you can skate on them? (Seriously!! We had a guy skating up and down the road all day)
You call your favorite sister-in-law (who lives next door) And watch movies and knit all day. So Julie decided to get out my knifty knitters and give them a whirl... this is what she came up with. A hat for Cleo.

PETE'S "THAT'S A CHICK'S HAT" PATTERN... scroll down!

Bernat softee chunky
Size 6 needles

You can use any type of st for this hat, I used stocking. But I think it'd be kind neat looking in a moss stich, or with cables...

Cast on 58 sts, or bigger depending on how small or large your head is, I made one for a 6 year old and only cast on 42, and it fit her perfect.

K2, P2 ribing for however thick you want the cuff/brim, on this one I think it is 2"...

Then you switch to stocking st Knit a row, purl a row, till it is 12 inches long end with right side facing you.

Then you K2tog and repeat till the end of the row
Next row, Purl entire row
Then you K2tog and repeat till the end of the row

Then break the yarn and thread it through all the remaining sts, pull it tight and sew up the seam, Sew on the other side of you work for the last 2 inches (or however thick your cuff is)
But you can do alot with this hat, you could make some little bunny, cat, dog or bear ears on it for a cute little kids hat, throw on a couple ear flaps, add a pom pom, any kind of fairisle would work REALLY well with it, make the cuff a roll brim ect...

Another mom sweater (finished last winter) looks like Cleo likes it too because it is COVERED in cat hair! I love this though, it was my first attempt at buttons (which is why they aren't even) But I am amazed at how easily the Raglan sleeves went and how nicely it has been washing.

Yummy scarf for Kelly, I guess it's not quite a suprise. But the other things can be! Oh how I love this scarf. It is knit in Patons Divine on size 10.5 needles (k2, p2), with a mix of Amethyst Allure and some shade of Homespun, for the fringe. Anyway curse of a knitter, you always fall in love with your creations when they are for someone else. Which reminds me, Julie is knitting me something... it's a scarf, she says she wants to make me something special, since I taught her how to knit and because I make sweaters for everyone but never have time to make one for myself (truth is I don't make sweaters for me, because I look stupid in sweaters... But hey! Free Scarf! WOOO HOOOO!!!)

Looks like this hat found an owner! Poor Julie has been wearing the same toque for a few years now, and it was getting pretty ratty looking, and I just happened to have a pattern and the yarn to go with it. She was so happy when I gave her this hat, as you can see in the picture. It's actually kind of sad, but a funny-sad. Oh and today I picked up some super special yarn, for a super special friend. I have no idea what kind it is, but it is SUPER SOFT and a really pretty colour, and the price was right. So now that I have found the perfect yarn, in the perfect colour, Kel may have her hat mitten and scarf set before winter is through! (cross your fingers girl!) Also I have been asked to make a sweater for my cousin. With the type of design in this picture of Julie, and I am working on one for myself, so maybe she will get that one, I guess we'll see! Anyway, workies in the morning... So love and goodnite ~K

ACK! I completely screwed up the heel of my socks.But I'm leaving it, no sense fussing over something for myself right? Although I guess that if it turns out really bad, then I will rip it out and fix it. And I will be going to the Yarn Warehouse this Tuesday (exciting, I have never been) I am on the quest to find some Dale of Norway hat and mitten patterns. And I have figured out the perfect gift for my very new to knitting sister-in-law Julie. I am going to get a basket and fill it with all knitting stuff ( I was in a store the other day, that had candy cane knitting needles, how cute is that?) Anyway, I have movies to watch and socks to make, so later!

Okay, so this is the newest knitting p%$#-off. A while ago I ordered a TON of this Hot pink so called "Cashmere", I like to call this brand Kashmore... trust me, It's NOT cashmere. kind of like it's not a rolex, it's a folex...OR fake chocolate is Mocklate. So it was a huge waste of money, and I just can't seem to get the -I want to make this really nice attitude! So what ever screw ups I make are staying there, which I am sure you can pick them out. Not only that, but they are VERY pink. Actually my knitting seems to have had a pink theme for a while now. I figure these will be done with in the next few days depending on how interesting the weekend turns out to be... Then it will be on to making the arms to go with my sweater that I seem to keep forgetting that I am halfway finished. Anywho.. Good Nite!

Okay, seriously, what a stupid thing to knit for a 6 year old girl (my cousin). There is a pair of these, useless things. I had just finished them, when my brother came over looked at them and laughed and said "Do you know how much snot those little hairs will hold on to?" And he is right. Not only that they would suck for making snow balls, forts or just playing outside in general. So these will go into the pile of useless knitted things by Kerri!

Okay, for Laura's birthday, all she wanted was "a soft pair of mittens" So with the help of Tony's color picking, this is what she is getting. Hat, Scarf and Mittens... Hat and Mitten patterns both came on the label, it was Bernat Soft boucle. I can't remember the color name though. The scarf took two balls, held together on size 11mm needles.1st 5 rows in garter stitch, 6th row and all other right side rows Knit 5, Purl 3, Knit 6, Purl 3, Knit 5. Wrong side, Knit 8, Purl 6, Knit 8.. continue in this manner for about 6 rows, with RS facing, Knit 5, Purl 3, C3B, Knit 3, Knit 3 from cable needle, Purl 3, Knit 5. Continue this way till the length you want, doing the cable stitch about every 6 rows or so. This one is about the closest of the three pictures I could get the color.

85 inches later, and we have a scarf, for Laura! This was my first "Real" attempt at cables, and I am happy with it for the most part, and it is so cozy and warm and soft. It's also really long, with about 8 inches of fringe on each end. It's just too bad the color won't show up right on here.

On the needles now is one of these lovely's! I had finished one up for my brother Ken (who has been begging me to knit him one for the past 5 or so years.) Last month, So when I was done it, I had to try it on, perfect fit. fell in love with it, and of course wanted to keep it... But I couldn't. So I am making myself one. In "Pale Navy" with white and "Navy blue" designs. It won't be as nice, but it'll do I guess.

100% Merino wool (Chocolate and Natural) hand warmers,(but anything will work) Knits up VERY quickly with 4.5mm straight needles. There are a zillion patterns floating around for arm warmers, but I hadn't seen one that you don't have to use DPN's (which I hate, unless making socks) Just incase anyone comes across this and wants to know how to make them, here ya go... It's a varition of my Grandmother's mitten pattern, that she taught me when I was a kid, she was a fantastic knitter and I don't think I ever saw her working from a pattern... it just amazes me.4.5mm needlesCast on 36stsk2, P2 ribbing for approx 2 inches (or however long you want it)Then switch to stocking stitch, till you reach the arm length that you want (I did about 8 inches) K 18, increase in st in both next 2 sts. Knit to end of rowPurl K 18, increase 1 st, k2, inc 1 st Knit to end of rowPurl K 18, increase 1 st, k4, inc 1 st Knit to end of rowPurl K 18, increase 1 st ,k6, inc 1 st Knit to end of rowPurl K 18, increase 1 st , k8, inc 1 st. Knit to end of row Purl (unless my counting is off you should have 46 sts on your needles.)K 30, turn work, cast on 1 st at beg. of rowP12 (with Cast on stitch) turn agianCast on 1 more st, *knit these 13.purl one row* (repeat from * to * until you have about 1/2 an inch of thumb) Switch to k2, p2 ribbing. Cast off purlways when you reach the length you want. Sew thumb seam.Attach yarn to last stitch on right hand needle, pick-up 3 at bottom of thumb. Knit across all sts.Purl row, purling together the 3 sts at bottom of thumb. continue till it is long enough to suit your hand, then switch to K2, P2 ribbing for approx. 1 inch, then cast off purlways. Sew side seam, and repeat the entire thing again for your second warmer. And the great thing about these are you can throw cables on them if you want, or ANY kind of colour chart you want. (After I finish Ken's sweater I am going to make a pair, with roses wrapping around them, I am also thinking a spiderweb would look cool... we'll see)

Baby Cardigan, for Adam and Chrissy's little girl... to bad it's yellow, would have looked so cute in pink. The picture is a little fuzzy, but you can still see the little bunny buttons on it! I still have to make to make a matching hat, with bunny ears, like the one in S&B Nation. And I will also put a little fuzzy white bunny tail on it.

And then there were two! And I love them, and I am thinking about keeping them for myself... Or making the exact same pair over agian... But that's no fun! But I did really like knitting on the Caron yarn. It was so bright and pretty... and CHEAP! So today I stocked up on all different colours of the "brights" I also picked up some Peaches and Cream stuff for dish cloths... I HATE KNITTING DISH CLOTHS! (But Julie won't let it rest. So I am making some for everyone else... and none for her.. SOOOOOOOOO EVIL! I love it! And then some day I will get back into making sweaters... I miss it. And for some reason knitting baby sweaters isn't the same. I also want to make a caplet in this Hot Pink Cashmere that I got a while ago on ebay, and couldn't use.
